The 46th edition of the festival of opera and ballet art was officially opened on the stage of the opera house in the South Bulgarian city of Stara Zagora on 23rd of November.
Performances of the best musical moments from Maestro Georgi Atanasov’s opera “Gergana” marked the start of the festival.
The organizers dedicated this performance to the 90th anniversary of Stara Zagora opera.
Until 5th of December, viewers will have the opportunity to watch 11 performances on 4 stages. Representatives of the operatic theatres of the Balkan countries will take part in the festival. There is an idea to create a Balkan opera network.
