Torrential rainfall during the night has caused serious damages in the South of Bulgaria.
The most affected area is the village of Turiya, Pavel Banya municipality, where a two meter surge from the river Turiyska flooded over 60 homes.
Agricultural buildings and roads were damaged and two cars were swept away. There were no victims, but the residents were scared and some carried animals in their arms in order to protect them from drowning.
Flood recovery activities are taking place to remove the damages.
