More than 80 people sought medical attention at Sofia’s 'Pirogov' Emergency Hospital between 8:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. on January 8 due to slips and falls on icy streets.
Seventeen of them were admitted for treatment, with injuries severe enough to require surgery.
The youngest patient injured on the ice is 20 years old, while the oldest is over 80. Two women, both around 65, sustained serious hip fractures.
