Bulgaria’s Prime Minister Boyko Borissov on October 15 urged Borislav Mihailov to immediately resign as president of the Bulgarian Football Union (BFU).
“After yesterday's heavy defeat of the Bulgarian national football team from the English and in view of the poor results of our football, I ordered the Minister of Sports Krassen Kralev to terminate any relations with the BFU, including financial ones, until the removal of Borislav Mihailov from the post," Borissov wrote in Facebook.
“I also strongly condemn the behaviour of some of those present at the stadium. It is unacceptable that Bulgaria, which is one of the most tolerant countries in the world, and people of different ethnicities and religions live in peace, should be associated with racism and xenophobia”, he adds.
