The Prime Minister of North Macedonia Zoran Zaev thanked for the quick reaction of the Bulgarian authorities to the tragedy on “Struma” Motorway, in which 45 people died after a passenger bus caught fire on November 23. He spoke to the media in Sofia after visiting the injured passengers in “Pirogov” emergency hospital.

7 people survived the accident. They were traveling in the back of the bus and managed to break one of the windows to escape the fire.
All of them are in stable condition and have received the necessary medical care, Zaev said. Some of the survivors are a family with a 16-year-old girl.
