A 64-year-old man from Kaspichan is arrested as a suspect for the brutal murder of four people in the same town. He was a neighbour of the victims.
On 26th of September, in a house in Kaspichan, the bodies of an elderly couple aged 81 and 70 and their son and daughter, 46 years and 48 years old. The police, in the presence of a forensic surgeon, found injuries on the bodies, most likely caused by a knife or ax.
Shortly after 9:00 today, a 28-year-old woman from Madara village sought assistance from police officers in Kaspichan because for two days she tried to contact her mother, but had no answer, the Ministry of Interior announced. After her signal, she and two police officers went to her mom’s home. They saw two dead bodies as soon as they opened the front door.
The administrative head of the Regional Prosecutor's Office was immediately informed. On-site inspection continued and two more bodies were found.
It was identified that there were family disputes between the family and their neighbour. With the assistance of the Specialized Police Force of the city of Shumen, the police went into a neighbouring property, where 64 years old man was detained. Traces were found related to the committed crime.
The investigation is on-going under the supervision of a district prosecutor.
