The police in Rousse on 9th of October detained a Romanian citizen for the murder of TV journalist and host Viktoria Marinova. His alibi for possible involvement in the crime is being checked, the Head of the Regional Police Directorate in Rousse, Commissioner Teodor Atanasov said.
The information so far is that the Romanian citizen is of Ukrainian origin. He is detained for 24 hours, but other people are questioned about their possible involvement in the murder of Viktoria.
Earlier today, the police announced a hotline, at which citizens can report if they know something about the serious criminal offense.
Commissioner Teodor Atanassov: The identity of a number of individuals is investigated for possible involvement in the crime. At the moment there is a person whose alibi is being clarified, but we do not currently have a specific suspect.
