The Ministry of Interior said on September 5 that it is stepping up road traffic controls for the upcoming long weekend, which will include the Unification Day on September 6.
The police will be looking for compliance with speed limits, documents and alcohol and drugs driving.
Traffic police have taken measures to increase presence of police officers on the roads a day ahead and the last day of the long weekend. Traffic police teams will be deployed at the exits and entrances of big cities, chef inspector Ilya Georgiev told BNT.
The teams will concentrated on main roads and motorways, but checks will be done ibn smaller places as well.
