A protest against high fuel prices is being held on 13th of June in Sofia. According to the organizers, within a month and a half, the prices of most frequently used fuels have risen by nearly 0.30 BGN.
The protest started in front of the BNB building at around 5 pm, and then the protesters formed a car procession. The organizers say that prices of fuels in the country rose over the past month, despite that there was no change in the prices of crude oil and no change in the dollar exchange rate.
These are not realistic prices, there is a cartel in Bulgaria. It is not possible diesel to be more expensive than petrol. These speculative prices of fuels rip off the Bulgarian people, the protesters say.
BNT check showed that as at today, the price of the most widely used petrol A-95 is 2.25 BGN per litre. For one month, its price has risen by 0.4%. For one year, the price of this fuel has dropped by 0.44%. The price of diesel is currently BGN 2.31 per litre and is unchanged compared to the previous month. For one year, diesel price has risen by 1.3%.
