Germany’s 7-1 World Cup win over Brazil on 8th of July became the highest rated programme on the Bulgarian National Television. According to GARB Audience Research Bulgaria, a record high number of viewers watched the semi-final football match. The game gave BNT an audience share of 9,8% or approximately 700,000 people watched the Germany-Brazil match on BNT1 and BNT HD channels.
40,000 viewers watched the World Cup 2014 semifinal through the live stream on the website of the public service broadcaster: http://www.bnt.bg/fifaworldcup.
The match attracted the highest audience since the beginning of the World Cup 2014. The previous record high share of viewers was reached during the match between Brazil and Croatia, at the start of the tournament.
Tonight, 9th of July, the football match Argentina vs. Netherlands will be broadcast live on BNT and it will decide who will face Germany in the World Cup 2014 final on Sunday. The kickoff is at 23.00.
The third-place match will be played on Saturday, 12th of July.
The World Cup 2014 closing ceremony on Sunday,13th of July, will be broadcast live on BNT at 20.20.
