Voter turnout as at 16:00 in November 14 parliamentary elections is 25,72%, data of the Central Election Commission (CEC) shows. The turnout in the presidential elections is 25,58%.
According to CEC, the voter turnout is very low and is lower than the one in the snap parliamentary elections in July, 2021.
"We've had too many elections this year, and that's probably having an impact. The COVID pandemic also has an impact, which is keeping the elderly, in particular, from going to the polling stations," - said the spokesman of the Central Election Commission, Tsvetozar Tomov
59 voting machines stopped working after their installation in sections.
CEC spokeswoman Rositsa Mateva reminded that the election day ends at 8 pm, but if there is a queue in front of the polling station, it can be extended to 9 pm at the latest.
After the end of the election day, copies of the election protocols may be obtained by all advocates and observers in the section commissions.
So far, voting abroad is going normally. No voting machine has stopped working. There are no queues in front of the polling stations.
