Residents of Shumen staged a protest over high prices of fuel and power

A protest against the high prices of fuels and electricity, and demanding a more decent life, took place outside the building of the municipality in the city of Shumen (Northern Bulgaria) on 14^th of November. The protesters tempoarilily closed the traffic in front of the municipality building.

They said they wanted to stay in Bulgaria, so they wanted a change that would make their lives better.

They went to the regional administration, where they talked to the regional governor and then to the Mayor of Shumen on topics related to urban development.

Dragomir Koinov: For a better future, to save our children, grandchildren from rudeness, theft and corruption. Yordan Zahariev: I want a more normal state. Statistics show that we have the lowest salaries in the EU, compared to Romania, even with Albania, our salaries are lower. There is no order in this country.
