The water level of the rivers in the South West of Bulgaria have stayed at the same level in the past 24 hours. The level of some of them is below the monthly average. On 7th and 8th of August there is an expected rise in the level of the river Mesta, the upper stream of Struma and some of its flows.
On 8th of August, the rainfall is expecetd to be 10 to 15 litres per square metre. This will increase the water level of rivers, but according to experts floods are unlikely to happen.
