“Bulgaria is among the first countries that has assisted Serbia in dealing with the flood damages”, said the Ambassador of Serbia, His Excellency Vladimir Curgus in an interview for the BNT morning programme “The Day Begins” and expressed his gratitude to Bulgaria for sending rescue teams. He added that Bulgaria has sent 5 lorries of disaster relief assistance to Serbia.
H.E. Vladimir Curgus noted that many Bulgarian people have called the Serbian Embassy to offer assistance. Singers made proposals for charity concerts, various companies and organizations contributed to the flood relief efforts.
The ambassador was pleased to say that this is very indicative for the closeness of the relationship between the two nations and said it gives a sense of optimism.
He explained that canned food, cleaning products and disinfectants, baby diapers are urgently needed at the moment. Clothes are already available, added H.E. Vladimir Curgus.
