Social Policy Minister: 310,000 people will receive heating allowances

Some 310,000 people will receive allowances to assist with heating costs, caretaker Minister of Labour and Social Policy, Lazar Lazarov, announced from the parliamentary rostrum on November 4.

"What is the cabinet's policy on energy compensation? What is the policy for dealing with the firewood crisis. Today there is no firewood and its price is not 45 BGN as it was announced that it would be," asked Khalil Letifov from the Movement for Rights and Freedoms.

"There is a campaign for targeted heating allowances, the amount is high. 310,000 people will receive such allowance. At the moment, those who have submitted applications by the deadline - 30 October - will be supported," caretaker Social Minister, Lazar Lazarov, said.
