On 8th of July, Sofia Appellate Court upheld the acquittal of the former Deputy Chairperson of Bulgaria’s Parliament and MP from the Movement for Rights and Freedoms, Hristo Bisserov.
At the end of 2015, the lower instance court, Sofia City Court acquitted Biserov on the charges of tax-evasion and breaking the law on currency transactions.
The investigation was launched at the end of 2013 with accusations that Biserov and his step son Ivailo Glavnikov were involved in tax evasion and money laundering.
