Sofia is named a permanent European capital of sports. This was announced by Sofia Mayor, Yordanka Fandakova, referring to a letter sent by ACES EUROPE, as quoted by BGNES on 29th of August. Fandakova reported on the work done within the initiative "Sofia - European Capital of Sport 2018" and the investments that the municipality made for the development of sport on the territory of Sofia Municipality.
