The shortest meeting in the history of Sofia City Council was held today, January 11 and was postponed to January 25.
Today, the Sofia City Council met once again in an attempt to elect a chairperson. However, it became clear yesterday that there was no agreement on the subject and the meeting would be postponed.
For more than two months, Sofia City Council has been unable to elect a chair. Today's meeting lasted only 5 minutes.
The Bulgarian Socialist Party, "Vazrahdane" and GERB-UDF are against a rotating chair and against temporary solutions, but they do not propose such themselves.
The decision to postpone the meeting was adopted almost unanimously - 56 councillors voted in favour, 1 - abstained.
