Sofia Opera and Ballet sends off the year with traditional festive concerts

True to tradition, the Sofia Opera and Ballet staged its traditional New Year's gala concerts.

36 soloists delighted the fans of opera and ballet with their performances on December 30. Among them were two honorary guests - Kiril Manolov and Fiorenza Chedolins. Four laureates of the international competition of the world-famous soprano also took the stage. The second concert evening is on December 31, at 18:00.

"We have prepared a magic of pearls of world ballet and opera classics. When our lives have been affected by a global pandemic, wars between nations, social injustices that have affected so much of the world, the healing power of music and the art of opera are needed right now," said Acad. Plamen Kartalov - Director of the Sofia Opera.
