A severe thunderstorm, unusual for January, struck Burgas early this morning, January 8. Heavy rainfall caused flooding and disrupted traffic on several major boulevards.
One of the city’s largest districts, Sarafovo, was left without electricity until emergency teams were able to restore power. The unsettled weather continued into the afternoon, when hail also fell across the city.
