Two seasonal international trains start running between Sofia, Bulgaria and Thessaloniki, Greece. They will run only in the summer. The train from Sofia to Thessaloniki will depart on Fridays until 2nd of September and the return train will travel on Sundays until 4th of September.
The train from Sofia to Thessaloniki will travel with coaches from the regular international train from Bucharest to Sofia, which departs from the Romanian capital at 12.50 and arrives at the Central Station in Sofia at 22.25. The composition from Sofia will depart at 23.55 and will arrive in Thessaloniki on Saturdays at 6.30 in the morning.
On Sundays, the train will depart from Thessaloniki at 23.10 in the evening and will arrive on Mondays at the Central Station in Sofia at 6.15. From Sofia, coaches from Thessaloniki to Bucharest will travel with the regular international train to Romania, which departs from the Central Railway Station in Sofia at 8.00 and arrives in Bucharest at 17:24.
The trains will include a sleeper and a couchette.
