Bulgaria’s National Revenue Agency (NRA) starts accepting tax returns for 2020 on January 11, the agency’s press office said on January 8.
NRA officials said this year they do not expect queues, because the statistics show that 90% of the tax returns are submitted online.
New deadlines are introduced for legal entities. They are required to file the tax returns from March 1 to June 30.
Individuals can submit their tax returns from January 11 to April 30. NRA advises not to rush, because by March records of the income from the past year will be filled in the tax returns by the NRA with the data provided by employers regarding payments.
So the tax payers only need to check the filled in tax returns and make changes if necessary.
In order to file the tax returns online, electronic signature or personal identification code is required.
