On 12th of September, Sofia City Court ruled that the appeal for cancelling the arrest warrant of the banker Tzvetan Vassilev is unacceptable and rejected the appeal. The banker was not present at the court hearing.
A Red Notice has been issued in the name of Vassilev and he was included in the Interpol’s list of wanted persons.
The judge on the case explained that in order to apply a legal provision to cancel the arrest warrant, the person in question had to be detained. He added that Vassilev at the moment was not arrested or detained. That is why the judge ruled the appeal as being premature. In brief, these were the grounds for the rejection of the appeal.
