A date has been set for a meeting of the party's National Council
The Executive Bureau of the Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) on December 16 submitted its resignation to the Chair of the National Council, Atanas Zafirov.
The party leadership made the decision as an act of collective responsibility, fully aware that at this crucial moment for both the state and the party, the priority is to stabilise the situation and guide the party through the challenges ahead.
A meeting of the BSP National Council has been scheduled for Saturday, 10 January 2026.
At today’s meeting, a delegation was also appointed to take part in consultations with President Rumen Radev on Wednesday, 17 December. The group will consist of Atanas Zafirov, Dragomir Stoynev, Kiril Dobrev, Kaloyan Pargov, Ivan Takov, Ivan Ivanov, and Manol Genov.
