The joint training exercise of Bulgarian, Romania and US naval forces has started Wednesday, 12th March. The exercise was scheduled for Tuesday, 11th march, but was postponed because of bad weather.
The training takes place in the North-Western part of the Black Sea and involves the Bulgarian frigate “Drazki”, three Romanian vessels and the U.S. Navy guided-missile destroyer, USS Truxton.
The exercise was planned in 2013, before the crisis in Ukraine and the events on Crimean peninsula.
