The Parliamentary group of the centre-right Reformist Bloc returned the mandate for forming a government to Bulgaria’s President Rossen Plevneliev on 21st of December. This was the third and final exploratory mandate offered by the President for forming a government within the current 43rd National Assembly.
After a series of consultations between the Reformist Bloc, GERB and the Patriotic Front, on 20th of December it became clear that the current Parliament was not able to elect a new cabinet and the country will go to early general elections.
After the meeting with the Reformist Bloc, the President will make a statement to announce his next steps.
