The two children brought to “Pirogov” emergency hospital in Sofia from the Stara Zagora University Hospital, who were injured in the Serbian bus crash on Trakia motorway on August 14, will be transported to Serbia on August 18.
The condition of the two children remains serious but stable. There is no immediate danger to their lives, but both remained in intensive care, said Dr Valentin Dimitrov, director of “Pirogov” University Hospital yesterday, August 17.
Two helicopters of the Republic of Serbia with two resuscitation teams on board will be used for this purpose.
According to the plan, the helicopters will land at 10.45 at Sofia Airport in a specially designated area.
The take-off is scheduled for 11.15, in view of the time needed for the medical transportation from “Pirogov” hospital to Sofia Airport.
The ambulances will be escorted by specialised teams of the Ministry of Interior.
