Continuous torrential rain that started on 31st of July has brought flooding and caused damages to villages in the Central and Western Bulgaria. The situation in many parts of the country is difficult. State of emergency was declared for 12 villages in the region of Svoge in Sofia district.
The heavy rain caused collapsing of bridges, landslides, flooded roads and houses. Many villages remained without electricity.
The 25 year old shepherd who went missing on Thursday 31st of July was found dead on Friday, 1st of August.
