Traffic on Trakia motorway will be stopped for an hour at midnight

From 23.00 to 24.00, on July 25, the traffic in both directions will be stopped in the section from km 156 to km 161 of Trakia Motorway. In order to prevent difficulties for the traffic during the day, late in the evening, a framework will be installed of the electronic toll collection system for the use of the national road network based on the distance travelled for vehicles weighing more than 3.5 tonnes.

During the period of suspended traffic, motorists can wait or may use the following bypass routes:

In the direction of Bourgas, motorists will be able to divert from Motorway at km 133 on the Plovdiv Iztok road junction on the I-8 Sadovo - Popovitsa road, road II-66 Milevo - Plodovitovo and to get on the motorway at the road junction "Plodovitovo" at km 165.

The bypass route in the direction of Sofia is: from Trakia Motorway at km 165 via road junction "Plodovitovo", along the road II-66 Plodovitovo - Milevo, road I-8 Popovitsa - Sadovo and getting back on Trakia Motorway at Plovdiv Iztok junctionj at km 133.

Motorists are advised to drive with caution and adjust speed to the traffic rules requirements.
