Police detained a Turkish bus with 41 illegal immigrants after a chase on the Trakia motorway. It happened early this morning.
A police patrol signalled for the bus to stop about 3 km before it entered the Trajanov Gate tunnel. He was driving in the direction from Plovdiv to Sofia. The bus driver disobeyed the signal, after which a chase was launched. Later, the bus was stopped in the area of Muhovo road junction.
It turned out there were 41 illegal migrants on the bus, 37 of them were in the luggage compartment of the bus and four were on the seats inside. Both the driver of the bus and the illegal migrants have been detained and are being held at the police station in Ihtiman.
