Two people drowned on August 4 near the northern part of the beach in Ahtopol (Southern Bulgarian Black Sea Coast) in an unguarded area, where there are no lifeguards on duty.
A 24-year-old man started drowning and another tourist, 32-year-old, tried to help him. However, he was also swept away by the sea current. The victims were from Kostinbrod (Western Bulgaria) and Dolni Dabnik (Northern Bulgaria).
