The assets of Tzvetan Vassilev have been restrained, informed the Bulgarian Prosecutor’s Office on 26th of August.
The restraint was imposed by Sofia City Court and has been in force since 22nd of August.
The court decision also applies to 7 other people related to the charges against officials of the Corporate Commercial Bank. The Prosecutor’s Office confirmed that on 28th of July, Tzvetan Vassilev was circulated as wanted, with the assistance of Eurojust.
On 13th of August, on the recommendation of the supervisory prosecutor, a proposal was sent to the Bulgarian Ministry of Interior for international circulation of Tzvetan Vassilev as a wanted person and for his temporary detention in custody, pending extradition procedures for him to be returned to Bulgaria from the territories of all member states of Interpol.
