URGENT MEASURES AGAINST EXCESSIVE CONSTRUCTION IN STRANDZHA NATURE PARK WILL BE REVIEWED

The Investment Planning Committee of the Bulgarian Parliament will review the draft proposed by the opposition party GERB for introduction of urgent measures to prevent excessive construction of the nature park Standzha in the Southeastern Bulgaria.

The purpose is the Parliament to obligate the Minister of Regional development to prepare amendments to the General Development plan of Tsarevo municipality on the South Black Sea area, where part of the nature park Strandzha is located.

The right-wing GERB party representatives insist that by 30th June 2014 the Minister of Regional Development assign the drafting of the amendments to the general development plan of Tsarevo and the government work out a programme for sustainable development of the region.

Last week the Minister of Environment, Iskra Mihailova, signed on Order to suspend the implementation of the general development plan of Tsarevo municipality.
