Valentin Nikolov was dismissed as Head of Bulgarian Energy Holding

Valentin Nikolov has been dismissed from the post of Executive Director of the Bulgarian Energy Holding.

He claims that he learned about this from the documents submitted to the Registry Agency about the change in the management of the holding.

Nikolov also said he had not decided whether to appeal his dismissal.

Valentin Nikolov claims that he, as well as some of his colleagues, were not invited to the meeting of the Board of Directors, which decided to dismiss him. Since last week, the Board has been increased from 5 to 9 members and only the newly appointed, and one of the old members, were present at the meeting.

"As far as I understand from the minister, the increase of the Board should show cooperation, but the reluctance to be informed that there is a new Board of Directors and not all members are convened shows hostility," said Valentin Nikolov, former executive director of BEH.

He claims that the meeting of the Board was convened for today, November 16. At noon, however, it became clear that the Board had already met, but yesterday. The current executive director had learned after a check that there was a decision for his dismissal.

"I understood from the Registry Agency and the submitted protocol that I was dismissed. Without motives, without anything. At least they could have invited me to be told in person, but unfortunately this did not happen," Nikolov said.

It takes several days for the change to be registered, in which, although dismissed, Nikolov is still the executive director of the Holding. Tomorrow he is supposed to assume new liabilities of Sofia District Heating to Bulgargaz by cession.

Tomorrow, however, another term expires, in which Sofia District Heating should repay its overdue debts to BEH.

"Otherwise, legal action must be taken, this is already a matter for the new leadership of BEH," Valentin Nikolov said.

Until Thursday, Nikolov can appeal the decision for his dismissal, but has not yet decided whether to do so or not.
