New water surge is expected on the Balkans. Water levels of the Danube in Austria and Hungary continue to be high.
The level in the Bulgarian section of the river started to gradually rise overnight.
The level of the section near the town of Vidin is unchanged, but the level near Novo Selo has increased by 2 cm.
In Rousse, the water level reached 725 cm i.e.it rose by 30 cm overnight, but there is no risk of the river bursting its banks and flooding the urban parts and there is no immediate threat for the residents.
The water level will be considered critical if it peaks by one more meter. If the level reaches 820 cm., Rousse - West Port will be flooded.
