Ukraine's Ambassador to Sofia, Vitaly Moskalenko, in the morning on May 4, delivered a letter from Ukraine‘s President Volodymyr Zelensky to Bulgaria's Parliament.
In his letter, the Ukrainian head of state is asking for Ukrainian military equipment to be repaired in Bulgaria and also for Bulgaria to continue its support for Ukraine's European integration. He is also asking for continuation of assistance to Ukranian citizens fleeing the war, for ensuring the export of Ukrainian grain through the port of Varna, energy cooperation and the export of electricity and gas from Ukraine to Bulgaria, as well as providing humanitarian aid in the form of medicines, clothing and foodstuffs.
Today, the Bulgarian Parliament is holding a sitting to debtae on whether to provide military and technical equipment to Ukraine or not.
