New rules will be introduced for driving personal vehicles abroad. They will become possible after the end of the three-month grace period given to the insurance companies by the Bulgarian Financial Supervision Commission.
The vehicles covered by third party liability insurance will no longer need ‘green card’ to travel in 32 European countries.
The insurance policies will state that Bulgarian vehicles do not need ‘green card’ certificate to drive in other EU member states, countries from the European Economic Area, as well as Serbia, Switzerland and Andorra.
The ‘green card’ certificate will no longer be required as the third party liability insurance will cover for more risks.
