During the past day, the police detected a total of 40 motorists who were driving under the influence of alcohol, Bulgaria’s Ministry of Interior reported on July 25 in connection with the specialised police operation targeted at drink and drug driving.
23 of those checked were driving after drinking 0.5 to 1.2 per 1,000, 17 - with more than 1.2 per 1,000, and five refused the test.
11 people were found driving under the influence of drugs or their analogues, 4 others refused to be tested.
