The snow cover at Mechi Chal peak has reached 50 cm, the Mountain Rescue Service said on 2nd of January. The ski zone Mechi Chal in Chepelare resort, Smolyan district in South Bulgaria, has been opened and the ski conditions are excellent.
The snow cover in Pamporovo is 40 cm. Eight ski pistes of varying difficulty are available for skiing and snowboarding. The resort offers sunny weather and excellent ski conditions.
The ski zones in both resorts, Chepelare and Pamporovo are accessible with one lift pass. Each pass provides opportunity for use of the lift and the facilities in Mechi Chal. The two ski zones are connected by bus transport service. Ski shuttle buses run on schedule between Pamporovo and Chepelare to transport tourists. The lift passes can be used as tickets for the bus service.
The price of daily lift cards for Mechi Chal zone is 39 BGN for adults and 24 BGN for children. The lift card “two in one” which provides access to Pamporovo ski zone and Mechi Chal costs 55 BGN per day for adults and 33 BGN for children.
