The 2nd of August special police operation against illegal migrants continued on 3rd of August. 65 people were detained, including women and children.
The operation started in the morning, after the Municipality of Sofia and the Ministry of interior agreed to deploy police patrols and enhance the video monitoring in the area of Lion’s Bridge, Maria Luiza boulevard and Banski square, where many people from the Middle East gather.
Teams of Sofia fire fighting unit, the state automobile agency, the agency for safety of foods took part in the operation.
