Seventy-one illegal migrants were detained in Bulgaria’s Capital Sofia during a special police operation on the night of 24th of September, Bulgaria’s Ministry of Interior announced.
Some of the detained – 13 men, women and children were arrested in a house in Sofia’s residential area “Moderno Predgradie”. The police later identified them as Iraqi citizens. The owner of the house, who provided shelter for the migrants was also detained. Pre-court proceedings have been initiated.
