All the people who were injured after a building in Germany’s town of Gudensberg caught fire on 19th of October, are Bulgarians, Bulgaria’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs told BNT on 20th of October.
According to earlier reports, 12 people have been injured after a fire broke out at a building housing workers from Bulgaria and Poland. Five were seriously hurt. They were treated for smoke inhalation. No life-threatening injuries were reported.
The injured underwent medical examination. The Bulgarian Consul in Frankfurt is in contact with them.
30 Bulgarians and Polish lived in the building which was engulfed by the fire. they worked in a hotel nearby.
The cause of the fire is not clear yet.
There were no refuges accommodated in the house. The local police has no indications about a possible attack. In the recent months, there was a wave of attacks on refugee shelters in Germany and several were set on fire.
