The newly confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours are 2,569 from 11,226 PCR tests, data published on the National Information Portal on coronavirus shows on October 28.
This means that 23% of the tested are infected with the virus.
The latest cases were registered in the following districts:
Blagoevgrad - 91; Bourgas - 101; Varna - 169; Veliko Turnovo - 37; Vidin – 13; Vratsa - 53; Gabrovo - 32; Dobrich - 15; Kardzhali - 54; Kyustendil - 35; Lovech - 16; Montana - 22; Pazardzhik - 26; Pernik - 25; Pleven - 63; Plovdiv - 230; Razgrad - 31; Rousse - 98; Silistra - 6; Sliven - 19; Smolyan - 6; Sofia district - 69; Sofia city - 1085; Stara Zagora - 81; Targovishte - 39; Haskovo - 32; Shoumen - 95; Yambol - 26.
The total lab-confirmed cases in the country since the start of the epidemic is 42,701.
The active cases are 22,597.
Of the total, 2,217 patients are in hospitals, 145 of them being in intensive care.
The recoveries over the 24-hour period are 293. The total recoveries are 18,943.
25 Covid-19 related deaths were reported in the past 24 hours, thus bringing the death toll to 1,161.
