The man suspected of kicking a woman down a flight of stairs at a subway station has been arrested in Germany, Police in Berlin said on 17th of December.
The 27 year old Svetoslav Stoikov was arrested at a bus station while he was still seated on a bus.
The attack on the woman took place on 27th of October at the Hermannstrasse U-Bahn station. The police last week released CCTV footage depicting how the man – seemingly unprovoked – had followed a woman walking down subway stairs and kicked her in the back, causing her to fall face-first to the platform. The assault left her with a broken arm. The man and a group of his companions (three other Bulgarians) then walked away.
Svetoslav is already being interviewed by the police. Charges will be pressed tomorrow.
