BG Weather: Plunging Temperatures over the Weekend, Possible Snow in Mountains

Bulgarian weather forecast predicts sharp drop in temperatures and possibility of snow in the mountains over the weekend as cold front is set to move in the country.

Bulgaria’s Road Infrastructure Agency advises drivers who plan to travel in the next few days through mountain passes and highaltitude places, not to go with summer tires on the road and to drive at a speed that safely matches the weather conditions.

Road maintenance teams will be ready to treat the roads if necessary.

Climatologist, Prof. Georgi Rachev, told BNT morning show that the next two days will be the coldest in this month.

It is possible to snow in the mountains.
