Bulgaria’s Border Police acquired 70 high-passability vehicles purchased with European funds. The Interior Minister Mladen Marinov attended the official ceremony on 8th of March.
Their purchase is funded under the Emergency Assistance Mechanism under the Internal Security Fund.
The total costs fro the cars is just over 7 million BGN.
The vehicles wil be used for dealing with migration pressure on the EU external borders. The cars are equipped with a system that allows them to lift up to one metre and to move on any terrain.
