Reynders recalled that Bulgaria's intention to introduce such a mechanism is also part of the country's Recovery and Resilience Plan.
The Justice Commissioner commented that the Bulgarian anti-corruption commission is already working, but more results are expected, as well as an increase in the integrity of the public administration. Brussels also expects legislative measures to regulate lobbying.
Reynders noted that results are also expected from the established Civil Society Development Council.
Regarding the media, the European Commission expects Bulgaria to take measures to increase transparency in the allocation of state funds for advertising.
