On 4th of May, Bulgaria's Parliament voted to support the new government of Prime Minister Boyko Borissov.
133 MPs voted in favour, 100 against, with no abstentions.
The new government is a coalition of Borissov's centre-right GERB party as the senior partner and the United Patriots alliance of three nationalist parties: IMRO – Bulgarian National Movement (IMRO), National Front for the Salvation of Bulgaria (NFSB) and Ataka party.
Speaking before he took the oath as Prime Minister, Borissov said that GERB and the United Patrios, "by the will of the Bulgarian people", were taking the responsibility for the country at a moment that is historic for Europe and the world.
“We are at a historic moment for the world and Europe, our
country needs responsibility, security, better present and a successful
future”, he said.
The structure of the Council Ministers includes a Prime Minister, 4 Deputy Prime Ministers and 18 ministers and is as follows:
