The second largest Bulgarian city of Plovdiv will host DroneUp’s International Film Festival on 19th and 20th of August.
The first ever drone film festival will take place in the Roman stadium.
Filmmakers from 30 countries will present their best works in front of a live audience and will compete for prizes.
Petyo Petkov, organizer of the festival says that new technologies in aerial photography give opportunities for exceptionally creative ideas. Showing the daily lives from a bird’s eye view offers completely different dynamics and beauty of the world, he explained.
DroneUp will be presenting the best of drone cinema in the categories of Nature, Urban, Culture and Sport, Travel, Extreme and Wild, Narrative and Cinematic. The chair of the jury is the animator Zlatin Radev, who has been Oscar-nominated for the animation “Conservfilm.
