The shared goals of Bulgaria and the French Republic on many topics on the agenda of the European Union and the common challenges they face create conditions for further deepening of the partnership between the two countries, Bulgaria’s head of state Rumen Radev said at a meeting with the Ambassador of the French Republic Florence Robin, which took place in the Presidency in Sofia on December 10.
The increase of the economic and investment exchange between the two countries and the prospects for improving the environment for the French business in Bulgaria were among the highlights of the meeting. The two discussed the possibilities for building an even closer relationship between educational institutions and business in the area of vocational training.
The European perspective of the Western Balkan countries was also discussed during the talks. Rumen Radev expressed Bulgaria's position that through an open dialogue between Bulgaria and the Republic of North Macedonia real results in bilateral cooperation will be achieved and Bulgaria’s southwestern neighbour will make progress in the process of European integration.
